MEET THE SPEECH TEAM.

Description tHi, I’m Kayla Hill, and I’m thrilled to be part of this team! I’m originally from a small town in Louisiana and recently made the move to Mississippi. My journey as a licensed speech-language pathologist began in 2018, and my passion for AAC advocacy has only grown stronger over the years.

I started my career in skilled nursing facilities, where I had the privilege of working with geriatric patients—many of whom felt like an extra set of grandparents to me. It was there that I truly saw the power of communication and the heartbreaking reality of what happens when patients don’t have access to a voice. I’ll never forget the moment I tried to secure an AAC device for one of my sweet patients, only to be turned away. That experience lit a fire in me to ensure that no patient—young or old—is left without the communication tools they need and deserve.

Now, I’m excited to help other SLPs navigate the AAC process with confidence and make sure more patients receive the devices that can truly change their lives.

When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with family, friends, and my two miniature dachshunds, Mardi Gras and Roux Brees, who keep me on my toes! I also love embracing my Cajun roots, and if you know anything about Louisiana, you’ll understand why I like to say:
